Musicians and Entertainers Needed
The organisers of the Funchal 500 Tall Ships Regatta which takes place in Falmouth from 10th to 13th September 2008 are seeking local musicians and entertainers to showcase their talent at one of what will be the biggest events in Cornwall’s calendar.
With an expected number of visitors over the four day event to exceed 100,000, performing on the entertainment stages offers a fantastic opportunity to gain some great publicity for any act that appears.
Although the organisers are unable to pay the performers, all of the acts will receive the following publicity and billing for appearing for free:
* Listing on the official event website: www.falmouthtallships.co.uk
* A collection during each performance – all proceeds taken will go to the act that has performed
* The opportunity to distribute the act’s own promotional material as well as merchandise or CDs at the event
* Listing on a promotional flyer during the event
* 2 Skinner’s Beer Vouchers per person per act
Skinner’s Brewing Company are the main sponsor of the event in Falmouth and the entertainment will tie in with their plans to provide additional bars on Church St Car Park, Custom House Quay and Event Square, providing a great atmosphere on all three sites during the four day event. Steve Skinner said "We are really excited about adding a performance stage to each of our bar areas - I'm sure it will create an amazing atmosphere and add to the occasion."
