Parade of Sail & Race Start
13 September 2008. 2pm - 5pm.
Watch the ships as they head from the Docks to St Just Pool, and then, dependent on the wind, go either side of Black Rock, then round Pendennis Headland as close to the Falmouth beaches as possible, on towards the mouth of the Helford River for the Race Start. The exact location and timing of the start will be decided much nearer the date, but is expected to take place around 5pm.
Viewing points include St Anthony Head, Pendennis.

Sail with Enterprise Boats to watch the start of the Funchal 500 Tall Ships Race in Falmouth Bay.
Sail with Enterprise Boats from Falmouth or Truro at noon to view the Tall Ships in Falmouth Harbour preparing their sails etc for the start of the Funchal Tall Ships Race.
Feel the excitement as we view the magnificent Tall Ships with their sails billowing and watch them as the gun goes off at approximately 1700hrs to start them on their way to Funchal in Madeira.
Return to Falmouth Prince of Wales Pier late afternoon and Truro early evening. Book now to avoid disappointment.
Adult £40.00 12 noon - after race start. Pasty included in the price.
